I have already done?
Since 1997 I started to work in some organizations and among them,
working in
Khavaran Public Library in Farhangsara-ye Javan in Teheran was my
long-term experience. Starting as a Periodicals' librarian, I continued
my work in this library as a Reference librarian and later I was manager of
the library from 2001 to April 2004. I have worked and taught in
different organizations related in library and information work in Iran.
After my PhD is finished I will be a faculty member in a university in
Tehran. For a detailed list of my previous employments, studies and
publications see my
profile.
what am I doing?
As a research student I
am working on location-based Web search methods.
My PhD research is about
finding a reliable way to rank the results of general search engines
e.g. Google based on a geographical view. In this case, it is assumed
that people should be aware about the location of services they seek on
the Web. Some studies show that one-third of all queries on Web search
engines have a geospatial direction. As a result we need to improve
search tools for location-based or geographical uses.

information systems (GIS), geographical information retrieval (GIR),
geographical ontology, geospatial data,
personalized and customized search, ranking and rank aggregation for
